Maks Giordano

Maks GiordanoMaks Giordano is a Digital Strategist and Creative with a 22+ Years Track Record in Digital Projects.
He co-founded the digital consultancy „kreait" with a focus on creating user-centric and highly relevant digital services and helping organizations in their digital transformation. 
Maks is consulting clients, like Lufthansa, MunichRE, Red Bull, Deutsche Telekom, UEFA, eBay, ProSieben, Daimler and many others on Innovation Management. 

Maks started his career as a Director with ID Media AG in the Mid-Nineties and was involved in several internationally awarded digital projects, like e.g. the digital launch campaign of VW New Beetle or wallpaper magazine. 
He played a vital role in the establishment of "cycosmos", the leading social network in the UK and Germany in the Nineties, and therefore became an early evangelist in Social Media.

In 2000, Maks joined the Management Board of MetaDesign AG, Europe´s leading Brand & Design Agency and was in charge of the Digital Unit. 
With the work for NTT DoCoMo´s iMode and Quam/Telefonica in 2001, He was involved in Europe´s very first Mobile Portal Projects and Mobile Service Creations. 

The passion in Mobile led to the founding of „iconmobile" in 2003. As a co-founder and Managing Partner, Maks helped to establish the agency as one of the worldwide first mobile centric agencies and grew the company from Four Founders to a 150+ Employee Company with offices in Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney, London and New York. Maks was responsible as product lead for one of the worldwide first mobile adservers in 2004 and developed mobile marketing and mobile advertising formats for the likes of MSN, o2 and BMW, many Years before the iPhone Launch. 

After exiting the company in 2007 to the world´s largest Agency Network WPP, Maks was a Member of the Management Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Digital, one of the largest Media Companies in Europe, and in charge of the Mobile, Games & Innovation activities. He successfully launched the first iOS Apps for the Group, created new Advertising Formats, pioneered UGC Campaigns for the network and launched a highly profitable Data-Access-Product. Ever since his ProSieben Days, Corporate Innovation remains a huge passion. 

Later, Maks joined „kyte” from San Francisco as their Managing Director for Europe and developed Video Strategies for Mobile, Social & Online for the likes of MTV, Universal Music and many others. 
kyte succeeded in working with some of the world´s most popular artists, like "Lady Gaga" and "50 Cent" in their personal Video Offerings and Fan Engagements. 

Maks helped to bring the Mobile Monday to Berlin and launched the „Wearable Wednesdays" in Germany. 
He is an active Business Angel and Mentor to StartUps, serves on various boards as an advisor, was heading the "Founder Institute" Accelerator in Berlin, mentoring StartUps at Axel Springer PlugNPlay, Telekom hub:raum, Pioneers Festival and others.

Maks holds an MBA in Media & Communication with distinction from the University of St. Gallen and is teaching „Entrepreneurship" and „Innovation Management" e.g. at Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen, HTW Berlin or FHV Dornbirn. He published the first German book on „usability" (Springer), the first German Book on „mobile business" (Gabler) and is currently working on his third book on „Digital Transformation". 

He is a judge both to the Webbys and Lovies Awards, named the „Oscars of the Internet", has a very weird taste in music, loves to travel and practicing Yoga.
Maks is spending way too much time tracking his activities, whether it is Food or Sleep and has a vital interest in Digital Health Applications.
