SingularityU Germany Summit

On April 20-21, 2016, Singularity University, the most innovative and forward-looking institution, chose to host their SingularityU Germany Summit in Berlin—one of the most vibrant cities in the world. SingularityU Germany Summit is the first event of SingularityU Berlin, a local chapter working to bring exponential thinking in Berlin and across Germany. The aim of SingularityU Berlin is to build a strong community of disruptive thinkers in the German region by developing regional programs and events throughout the year.

SingularityU Germany Summit 2016 - Overview:

9 SU faculty members and 6 leading experts from the global high-tech community presented the latest trends and cutting-edge developments in Mobility, Organization, Artificial Intelligence, Computing, Robotics, 3D Printing, Machine Learning and Bioscience. Together we strive to inspire and empower European leaders and influencers in using exponential technologies to solve today’s most pressing issues. SingularityU Germany Summit 2016 was an ideal platform to network for both alumni as well as first time attendees, leaders, government representatives, entrepreneurs, investors, NGOs.

600+ attendees ranging from CEOs to young innovators from across the globe attended the event. Together we explored issues such as: How can technological evolution be transformed into a sustainable and value-based growth for any industry? What ethical standards and responsibilities do global leaders have to account for? What is the future of Artificial Intelligence?

27 journalists representing leading media in the German speaking region attended the summit and a total of 38 media interactions took place before and during the summit.

SingularityU Germany Summit 2016 took place in Berlin, April 20/21 at Palais am Funkturm, Hammarskjöldpl., 14055 Berlin, Germany

Venue & Travel

Designed by Bruno Grimmek, the Palais am Funkturm was built in 1956/57, and was one of the best-looking and most modern venues hosting events and guests in Germany. Featuring an unusual room layout and the charm of the Fifties, this listed building is a unique venue congress events.

Palais am Funkturm is located very close to one of the main train stations “Messe Nord ICC Berlin, therefore easily accessible by public transport and also by car (parking area). Taxi stands are located directly in front of the venue’s entrance.
